I currently have a RCA DRD420RE receiver as a 2nd unit in my basement family room. I am using an RCA Wireless Receiver/IR Emitter, Model D930 & RCA IR Sensor/Wireless Transmitter, Model D935 to be able to view satellite TV in the master bedroom. I am considering and upgrade of this receiver to the D12-300. Will I be able to continue to use the wireless system with the D12.

I did read where the D12 is NOT RF compatable. Could someone explain to me what that means in simple English and is there any connection with my question. Thanks for any help. I borrowed another working cone and plugged it in for troubleshooting and determined that the infrared emitter (sometimes referred to as a blaster) that vaguely resembles a T-1 3/4 LED and sits in front of the Direct TV receiver is bad. Newark Electronics lists the three (of 285) most popular as Vishay TASL6100, Vishay TSAL6200, and Fairchild QED234. Would any of these work as a substitute? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
