News and World Report has ranked University of Wisconsin Law School 30th among the nation’s law schools, the magazine announced today. UW Law School joins other UW-Madison graduate programs that ranked among the nation’s best in the 2018 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools.” This year’s ranking represents a climb for the Law School, up from 33rd overall last year.
“The unwavering commitment by our faculty to their disciplines and their graduate students is reflected by these rankings,” says William Karpus, dean of UW–Madison’s Graduate School. “The continued strong position in the rankings for a large number of our graduate education programs demonstrates the prominence of our faculty in terms of research and scholarship and our commitment to educate the next generation of thought leaders.” Not all programs are ranked every year. Those UW-Madison programs ranked this year include: • Business: 34th for top MBA program; 33rd for part-time MBA program. • Education: 3rd overall. Ranked specialties include administration and supervision (2nd), counseling and personnel services (4th), curriculum and instruction (1st), education policy (4th), educational psychology (1st), elementary education (4th), secondary education (3rd) and special education (7th). • Engineering: 18th overall.
